We are a volunteer repair cafe in Levin where you bring in broken things and we help you fix them.

Everything here was written and drawn to get Aroha started – the words, the pictures, the colours, all of it. None of it is fixed. Change any of it, or all of it.

It really is easy, and you cannot break anything. When you have made it yours, delete this panel.

To log in, go to test7.ddnz.org/wp-admin. Your username is the email address you signed up with, and your password is in the email we sent you – have a look in your inbox.

Once you are in there are hundreds of free templates to choose from and thousands of plugins that add whatever you need. A little time in there and this will look properly like yours.

We have already set up the community side for you – Community Discussion and Community Self Funding. They are worth having for your community on their own, and they are also what brings people back to the site, which brings you visitors and custom you would not otherwise get.

Mending things, not bins

Once a month we open our doors to anyone with something broken. Appliances, clothes, bikes, furniture – if it is fixable, our volunteers will sit down with you and help you fix it.

We are not a drop off service. You stay and work alongside someone who knows how to mend what you have brought, and you leave having learned a bit yourself.

We run our repair cafe on a regular monthly basis, so there is always a next session to bring things along to.

We fix together

Our volunteers do not take your item away and fix it for you. You work alongside them, so you learn how it is done.

Not everything can be saved

Some things are beyond fixing, and we will tell you honestly if that is the case rather than waste your time.
